國立屏東大學是屏東地區唯一一所提供高教、技職、師培三大系統的獨特大學。而本校資訊學院亦具屏東地區國立大學中最為完整的資訊相關系所群，包含有資訊工程學系、電腦與通訊學系、資訊科學系、資訊管理學系、電腦與智慧型機器人學士學位學程等5個教學單位，研究能量充足。

此外，近年資訊科技驚人的進展，讓相關資訊應用(如物聯網、虛擬實境（VR）、擴增實境（AR）、自動駕駛等)觸角及於各行各業，人工智慧（AI）技術的革命式突進，更帶動了資訊應用人才缺，人才培育成為刻不容緩的議題。因此，本校開設資訊科技與應用國際碩士學位學程，以因應未來資訊產業的發展。

本國際碩士學位學程之課程設計，特別強調「技術實務」、「資訊創新」以及「國際移動」等面向，以培育資訊科技發展所需具前瞻性之國際中高階專業人才為目標，透過跨領域合作，不拘泥原有系所之學術建制，集中優質學術人力，本碩士學程規劃特色，使之成為結合不同領域專業知識、研究與發展創新的資訊科技及多樣化的資訊應用。
 

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

  National PingTung University (NPTU) is a unique university in Taiwan that provides three education systems including higher education, technological and vocational education, and teacher education. The program is fully supported by College of Computer Science (CCS). In NPTU, CCS has the most comprehensive Information Technology (IT) related departments among the national universities in the southern Taiwan. CCS consists of five departments: Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Department of Computer and Communications, Department of Computer Science, Department of Intelligent Robot and Department of Information Management.

  In addition, the amazing progress of (IT) in recent years has brought related applications (such as Internet of Things, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), autonomous vehicles, etc.) to various industries. The revolutionary advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has further led to a strong demand of (IT) talents, and training of talents has become an urgent issue. Thus, (NPTU) offers this International Master Program in Information Technology and Applications to meet future development in (IT) industry.

  The curriculum of the program emphasizes "Technology in Practice", "Information Innovation", and "International Mobility" oriented courses to cultivate international professionals with foresight in (IT) development. Through interdisciplinary cooperation, the program has been designed to combine different fields of expertise and research, and develop innovative diverse (IT) applications.
